Exercise 7.1

• Your organization has decided to create a suggestion system. Employees on hourly pay scales will be asked to submit suggestions. (Managers and other salaried employees are ineligible for this program; they are supposed to be suggesting ways to improve things as part of their jobs.) If the evaluating committee thinks the suggestion would save money, the employee receives 10% of the first year’s estimated annual savings. If the suggestion won’t save money but will improve work conditions, service, or morale, the employee receives a check for $50.
